Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use, why, and how you can manage your preferences. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) work the same way; this policy applies to both.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required for core functionality such as logging in and remembering you across pages. They cannot be disabled.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| access_token | Authenticate API requests after login | 15 min |
| refresh_token | Renew the access token without re-logging in | 30 days |
| hh_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie preferences | 12 months |
Functional (with consent)
These remember preferences such as recently viewed properties and your favourite list. They improve your experience but the platform works without them.
Analytics (with consent)
We use PostHog (EU region — Frankfurt, Germany) to understand which pages and features are used most so we can improve the product. PostHog is loaded for every visitor, but it only starts capturing events when you click Accept all in the cookie banner. Choosing Only essential keeps PostHog opted out and no analytics events are sent.
| Provider | Purpose | Data region | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| PostHog | Product analytics: pageviews, button clicks, feature usage | EU (Frankfurt) | 12 months |
Marketing
We currently do not use any advertising or marketing cookies. If we add them in the future, we will request your explicit consent first via the cookie banner and update this page.
3. Your choices
When you first visit the site, a banner asks you to Accept all or Only essential cookies. You can change your decision at any time by clicking the button below; the banner will reappear so you can choose again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in.
